Moray Council and NHS Grampian agreed to devolve governance for the planning and monitoring of the delivery of services for adults and older people to a new body corporate, the Moray Integration Joint Board. The board was formally established in April 2016. On 16 March 2023, formal approval to delegate Children and Families and Justice Social Work services to the Moray Integration Board was given by Scottish Ministers.
In 2022, voting members increased from 6 to 8; four elected members appointed by Moray Council and four appointed by the NHS Grampian Board. They are supported by non-voting members made up of leading officers from the council and NHS, and representatives of the third sector, service users and unpaid carers.
The Integration Joint Board is a member of the Moray Community Planning Partnership and with our partners we are working to make Moray a better place to live, work and visit.
The full board holds it meetings in public in the Moray Council Chamber. Meetings are also webcast.
