Logging on to the GIRFEC in Moray website are Sue Martin, Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer, and Laura Russell, Locality Network Lead Officer.

A new, user-friendly website has been launched to serve as a one-stop information hub for anyone looking to learn more about services supporting children and families in Moray.

The Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) in Moray website (www.girfecinmoray.co.uk) has been developed through a multi-agency partnership, that invited local families and young people to contribute to the content. The site’s engaging graphics were created by former Speyside High School pupil Maisie Dunbar during her digital media placement with Children’s Services within Health & Social Care Moray.

Tracy Davis, Child Health Commissioner for Grampian, welcomed the website’s launch.

“Through its ongoing work, our Family Support Strategic Group identified the need for a single, accessible website for families and practitioners. By collaborating with key partners, including Health & Social Care Moray, NHS Grampian, and Moray Council, we’ve created a central resource we hope will make it easier for people to find the support and information they need.”

The new website includes dedicated sections on GIRFEC, the Child’s Plan, children’s rights, and a range of support services. It also features a local events calendar highlighting local activities for families across Moray.

In addition, the site links to ALISS (A Local Information System for Scotland), which provides detailed listings of local and national health and wellbeing services, community groups, and activities.

Developed in collaboration with web design company Intimation, the GIRFEC in Moray site complements the Moray Protects website (www.morayprotects.co.uk) which was launched last year by the Moray Public Protection Partnership.

The site offers information on local initiatives including the Community Justice Partnership, the Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership, and the Drug and Alcohol Partnership, as well as child and adult protection services and support.
