Councillor Bridget Mustard, Chair of Moray Integration Joint Board
Moray Integration Joint Board (MIJB) is inviting applications for two key community roles to help shape the future of local health and social care services and ensure the voices of people with lived experience are heard at the highest level.
Recruitment is now open for an Unpaid Carers representative and a Third Sector representative to join the Board as stakeholder members for a three-year term.
These voluntary positions offer individuals with lived and living experience โ whether through caring for a family member or friend, or in providing support through a community-based organisation โ the opportunity to use their perspective to inform and influence decisions that affect people across Moray.
MIJB is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing integrated health, social care and justice services for children, families, and adults. Services are delivered on its behalf by Health & Social Care Moray (HSCM), the partnership between Moray Council and NHS Grampian.
Councillor Bridget Mustard, newly appointed Chair of the Board, said: โAs I step into this new role, Iโm looking forward to working closely with our stakeholder representatives who bring a vital perspective to the Board. Their lived experience challenges us to think differently and ensures decisions reflect the real-world needs of individuals and families across Moray.
โIf youโre enthusiastic about improving local health and social care, Iโd encourage you to apply to join the Board. This is a meaningful opportunity to turn personal insight into positive change for our communities.โ
MIJB is made up of voting members appointed by Moray Council and Grampian NHS Board, along with non-voting members representing the workforce, the third sector, unpaid carers, and people who are supported by services, as well as senior leaders from HSCM.
It meets formally four times a year in the Moray Council chambers in Elgin (with online attendance possible). It also has two sub-committees and holds regular development sessions. Support and guidance are provided to help new representatives contribute fully and confidently to the work of the Board.
Appointment to the roles will be made following a shortlisting and interview process. The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm on Friday 22 August 2025, with interviews planned for Friday 26 September 2025.
