Aberlour Health Hub

Aberlour Hospital is currently being utilised as a Health Hub and alongside providing work space to various services including District Nurses and our Community Response Team, is now delivering drop in and appointment based clinics and services to over 150 people weekly from immunisations through to specialised Third Sector services.

The Fleming Health Hub is a new initiative for HSCM and has not only created opportunities for delivering services, but has created a larger and more diverse Multi-Disciplinary team and enabled new collaborative working and delivery opportunities.

The Health hub can be utilised by anyone in Moray and it provides services closer to home for some of our most rural communities who otherwise would have to travel or be unable to access certain services. The rurality of Speyside often meant it was difficult for teams to deliver services due to a lack of available space that could be accessed free or to hire. The Health Hub has now changed this and in addition, it also provides a base to encourage specialised third sector organisations to deliver services.

Appointments, clinics and services currently include:-

  • Parkinson’s clinics
  • Child Immunisations
  • Podiatry
  • Toe nail clipping service
  • Clan Cancer Support
  • Moray Rape Crisis
  • Vaccinations
  • Diabetic Retinal Screening
  • Occupational Therapy (including falls prevention classes)
  • Physiotherapy
  • Dementia/Frailty Nurse Clinics
  • LD health Checks (Annual health checks for people across Moray with a learning disability, led by our LD team)

We work closely with all health and social care service providers including GP practices to ensure we are able to identify other services that would be of benefit to the local and Moray communities, can meet HSCM’s strategic aims around services closer to home and prevention and around prevention and self management.
