Moray Integration Joint Board has published its Annual Performance Report for 2025/26, showcasing the difference health and social care services have made to the lives of people across Moray over the past year.
The report celebrates progress in supporting people to live healthier, more independent and fulfilling lives, while recognising the significant challenges facing health and social care, including rising demand, financial pressures and workforce shortages.
Moray Integration Joint Board (IJB) is responsible for planning and overseeing community health, social work, social care and justice services for children and adults in Moray. Moray Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) manages and delivers these services on the Board’s behalf.
During the year, Moray HSCP continued to invest in prevention, early intervention and community-based support. Achievements included expanding support for children and families, improving access to mental health services, investing in digital technology that helps people live safely at home, strengthening support for unpaid carers, and improving health outcomes for adults with learning disabilities.
The report also highlights the important role of partnership working and celebrates the contribution of unpaid carers, volunteers, communities, third sector and independent organisations in delivering better outcomes for local people.
Dennis Robertson, Chair of Moray IJB, said: “This report is about more than performance measures – it’s about the difference health and social care services make to people’s lives every day. Despite significant pressures, we’ve continued to make progress in helping people stay healthier, live independently for longer and access the support they need closer to home.
“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank our dedicated staff, our unpaid carers, volunteers and partner organisations. Together, they provide care, compassion and support every day that helps people live independently, safely and with dignity.”
Judith Proctor, Chief Officer of Moray Health & Social Care Partnership, said: “Our staff continue to deliver outstanding care and support in increasingly challenging circumstances.
“Working alongside unpaid carers, volunteers and our partners, they are helping more people live independently, supporting individuals and families earlier when they need support, and improving outcomes for communities across Moray. This report reflects their dedication and the difference they make every day.”
Looking ahead, the partnership will continue to focus on redesigning and improving services, embracing digital innovation, tackling health inequalities and strengthening community-based support to ensure health and social care services remain sustainable for the future.
During the coming year, the Board will also begin refreshing its Strategic Plan with staff, partners, people who access services, unpaid carers and local communities. The refreshed plan will help shape how health and social care services are prioritised and delivered over the next three years to meet the changing needs of people across Moray.
